On Monday 15th May 2017 Karen Sandhu and Ryan Ormonde presented a 20 minute scratch performance of their Company of Bluewater project for LIVE 6 at Camden People's Theatre in a night of experimental theatre curated by Barrel Organ.
For this performance they read an edited version of the writing from their day together at Bluewater, interspersing this reading with a set of five simple choreographies:
SHAKING HANDS
REVOLVING DOORS
REACHING OUT AND TOUCHING HANDS
LINKING ARMS
SHOWBIZ FOOTWORK
They also encouraged the audience to read together and aloud a mantra that had guided the writing. They read out the writing rules and an edited version of the correspondence that had anticipated and planned out their day together at Bluewater.

LIVE 6: Camden People's Theatre
Karen Sandhu and Ryan Ormonde will present a 20-minute performance as part of LIVE 6, a scratch night curated by Barrel Organ on Monday 15th May 2017. LIVE 6 presents experimental and non-traditional work that specifically acknowledges the presence of the audience and plays with the ‘liveness’ of theatre.
Our performance, ‘Company of Bluewater’, is a work-in-progress that is part of our line of enquiry into ‘company’. For this project we spend a day in the company of Bluewater, a shopping and leisure experience built in the late 90s on the site of a former chalk quarry just outside London.
LIVE 6 takes place at Camden People’s Theatre on Monday 15th May 2017 at 7.30pm. This event is open to the public and tickets are £5 – available from the Camden People’s Theatre website.

ALONE @ POLYproject >6: Peckham Pelican
On Saturday 21st June 2014 Karen Sandhu and Ryan Ormonde presented a preview of the then-untitled GARBO for POLYproject >6 at Peckham Pelican.
This was a performance that alternated and overlapped the presentation of two text objects that were especially created for the event to introduce the forthcoming project. One of these was a film by Ryan Ormonde. Here is a still from that film:
The other object was a book-work made by Karen that had the function of a script which she referred to during her live and present reading. Here is a series of images taken by Karen of this book-work:
